Silent Hill accomplishes this through a host of wonderful little touches: a radio that emits static whenever monsters are near, a lead character that must catch his breath after running, the placement of wheelchairs and broken stretchers in abandoned stairwells, and so on. One of the most successfully unnerving elements is the game's lighting, which is almost always cast from a flashlight, whether you are in a dark alleyway, a fog-enshrouded back street, or a dank basement. The glare it gives off obscures almost as much as it illuminates, like a dying candle. It was that effect, much more than any fearsome creature, which made me leave a hall light on one night after playing it. That's not to say that the monster design is under par though. In fact, there was one species in particular - a shaggy man-thing that barks and sets after you on all fours - that sent a chill up the back of my neck every time I saw one.

The gameplay is identical to the arcade. Every move, combo, and character has been transferred over, and a couple of new characters have been added in as well. The aforementioned Dr. Boskonovitch is the scientist that appears in Yoshimitsu's Tekken 2 ending. Unfortunately, the good doctor has suffered some pretty bad spinal injuries and is unable to stand up for more than a few seconds. So you must fight from the ground with all sorts of strange kicking attacks. Gon is a tiny dinosaur from a Japanese comic. He breathes fire, electrifies his body, and passes gas. Gon's limbs are so short, you're never quite sure where his attacks are coming from. Both PlayStation exclusive characters are a waste of space. Dr. B is slightly interesting, but Gon simply has no place in the game at all. Whenever someone picks Gon, it not only makes me want to not play that match, but it also makes me want to just shut the entire game off.
Tekken 3 presents itself incredibly well. The sound effects are terrific, and the music is nothing short of amazing. From a graphical standpoint, Tekken 3 can't be beat. While the polygon count may have been slightly reduced and the backgrounds made 2D, it still looks absolutely incredible. It is definitely the high water mark for graphics on the PlayStation.

In SPEC OPS: COVERT ASSAULT, you choose two rangers from a host of different soldiers with their own abilities. Select from the machine gunner, close quarters fighter, sniper, grenadier, and rifleman. Once you have chosen your rangers, you will be able to customize them with a whole host of different guns and items such as body armor and grenades. You then enter into the game, which is made up of four different missions, ranging from the island of Sicily to the deep anonymous jungles of a far away place.

This prototype had some merit so an artistic friend, Creath Carter, took it upon himself to create some content to the replace the lifeless polygons. These stick-like objects can be drawn anywhere at any angle, serving as platforms, ramps, and rails.

The goal of Coaster Rider is deceptively simple; all you have to do is draw a track to get the roller coaster from its starting position to a checkered flag somewhere on the map. The catch is that, on your way to this flag, you must collect a number of stars placed around the map. In the first couple of levels this is a fairly simple task; the intended path to the end is fairly cut out by the position of the stars, but by the third level, the game will begin to test your mettle, and it doesn’t get easier through the rest of the ten levels.

Switchball (originally CrazyBall) is a 3D action-puzzle game, made by Swedish developer Atomic Elbow, which was released on June 26, 2007. The game puts the player in the role of a marble, which is guided through a narrow winding course suspended in mid-air in five different environments: Skyworld, Iceworld, Caveworld, Cloudworld and Lavaworld.
Using AGEIA as its core physics engine, the marble can be "morphed" into different balls with unique physical properties. Each course contains obstacles and traps, such as wooden blocks, sheets of cloth, spinning fans, magnets, and cannons.
